Where It All Began
Our grandfather Mario began his journey in the jewelry world at just nine years old in the city where he was born - Guadalajara, Jalisco. Coming from a humble family, he searched for work until one day, someone gave him the chance to learn how to craft gold rings by hand. With time, dedication, and a heart full of passion, he mastered the art of fine jewelry.
Years later, together with our grandmother Josefina, they built a successful family jewelry business alongside their ten children — five sons and five daughters — including our mother, Julieta Lozano.
A New Chapter — Where Tradition Meets Fashion
Growing up surrounded by gold, gemstones, and the warmth of our family business, we — Sheila Balbuena and Fernanda Lozano — naturally fell in love with the art of jewelry. But as time went on, another passion grew within us: fashion and travel.
From exploring new cities to discovering local styles across the world, we realized that every place tells its own story through fashion. That’s when we dreamed of creating a space where timeless jewelry traditions could meet the beauty of modern trends — and MAJO Jewelry & Boutique was born.
